This must be a difficult time for you. Dreams are a way of releasing emotion and repressed pain, so what is happening is emotionaly positive for you. Being able to say goodbye in a dream helps in working towards acceptance and closure. You will alway miss your brother but I hope that in time the pain becomes less intense.

Intense emotional dream
by fade_away ini had a dream last night i don't think i'll ever forget.. .
you see, my brother passed away a few months ago from an asthma attack at the age of 36. i've been learning to accept it and trying to move on, but last night a dream re-opened the wound a bit in a good way.
i dreamt that he was still alive but he knew and we all knew he was about to die...as if it was a terminal illness he had instead.

FlyingHighNow I’m surprised your thread hasn’t got a better response, considering the lengths some meaningless threads reach. It’s a shame when a meaningful thread doesn’t take of. Such is life. Talking of which everyone on this forum is an armchair philosopher. Every time we put forward an opinion belief or observation, we are dipping into our own personal philosophy. Even religion is a philosophy. Our own philosophy is in constant flux. A significant event or experience on any day can subtly alter the course of our philosophy.
“Quite literally, the term "philosophy" means, "love of wisdom." In a broad sense, philosophy is an activity people undertake when they seek to understand fundamental truths about themselves, the world in which they live, and their relationships to the world and to each other. As an academic discipline philosophy is much the same. Those who study philosophy are perpetually engaged in asking, answering, and arguing for their answers to life’s most basic questions. To make such a pursuit more systematic academic philosophy is traditionally divided into major areas of study.”
Lennon was expressing the fact that he had embraced a laid-back, peace is all man, approach to life. The abrupt end to his life suggests that reality is not always negotiable. My personal philosophy is that if you are enjoying your life, sleep well at nigh, and aren’t harming anyone, then you have just about cracked it! I would be interested in hearing what other people view as their philosophy.

''I believe in everything, until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists even it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams aren't as real as the here and now?'' John Lennon
It has to be remembered that dear old John was heavily into recreational drugs, as were most pop stars then. The right, creative side of the brain would come into play more. Their psychedelic songs and lyrics expressed the way that subjective reality blurred with subjective reality.
Leaving aside Lennon’s personal habits, I think he was expressing a more laid-back approach to how we view the world. We can rule everything out unless we have hard evidence to support it. Or we can rule everything in and see what happens.
It doesn’t mean we actually believe in fairies or that we don’t. Speaking words of wisdom, we can let it be. Let it float. Be prepared for the unexpected to surprise us, delight us or disappoint us. Life lived like this is more exciting and great inventors are often dreamers.

Jehovah's Witnesses should re-name themselves - Tomorrow's Witnesses.
They don't have to rush into changing their name - tomorrow will do.
The sun'll come out, tomorrow Bet your bottom dollar, that tomorrow
There'll be sun!
Just thinking about, tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs, and the sorrow
'Til there's none!
When I'm stuck in a day
That's gray and lonely
I just stick out my chin
And grin and say
The sun'll come out, tomorrow
So you gotta hang on 'til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I love ya, tomorrow
You're always a day away -

Who On This Site Would You Like To Meet?
by minimus inthere are a lot of interesting people that frequent this site.. sometimes, we get an idea of what the posters are really like in "real life".
and i'm sure i could be easily surprised by some that you think might be strong personalities because of their board presence, and in reality, they might be shy in a face to face setting.. i would enjoy meeting simon.
simon used to be terribly annoyed by my posting and now i think he's accepted with tolerance my being here.. farkel seems like a grouchy cantankerous fellow but i think he'd be very interesting company!.

florida man kills door-to-door salesman: ill kill anybody that steps on my propertya man in cape coral, florida on wednesday was arrested for shooting and killing an unarmed door-to-door salesman on his property.. kenneth bailey roop, 52, has been charged with second-degree murder for killing 30-year-old nicholas rainey.. a co-worker who witnessed the shooting said rainey had knocked on roops door, but received no answer.
while rainey was walking down the drive-way, roop pulled up in his pickup truck and asked why rainey was at his house.

Is there really any excuse for shooting and unarmed man then shooting him again in the head when he is already down? All the guy was doing was trying to sell fish. Threatening him with a gun would have been more than sufficient. Did the killer think the fish man would outdraw him with a smoked kipper? Even gladiators have rules of combat!

"The shooter is going to go to prison for life - that really was a 2nd Degree murder."
Yep! He won't be keeping people of his property in prison. They will be taking turns to jump on his back. Happy humping days ahead.

What is the Actual Purpose of Jehovah's Witnesses?
by chapstick infrom the time i was a kid i knew something wasn't quite right about jehovah's witnesses.
most of the family on my mom's side are still in.
